 Owners Charlie & Margaret Borrello welcome you to donnelly river wines.
Surrounded by the splendid Karri Tree Forests in the south west of Western Australia, Donnelly River Wines was the first winery in the Pemberton region. Established in 1986, the property is just 36 klms from the picturesque town of Pemberton on the Vasse Highway.
Our young 15 acre vineyard is now up to full production, giving a total of 35 acres of mature vines from which to draw fruit. The Donnelly River Wines production is enhanced with additional fruit procured from mainly the Pemberton region. With a total upgrade of facilities and equipment in recent times, this unique winery will continue to produce award winning wines far into the future.
Blair Meilkejohn, our award winning winemaker, works in harmony with the vineyard manager to achieve the best possible results for the premium wines we have become renowned for, to ensure maximum retention of fruit flavours and characters.
Donnelly River Wines are regularly becoming included in Australian Wine Show successes, with the list including Gold for Chardonnay; Best Trophy for Sauvignon Blanc; numerous Silver and Bronze awards across the entire range; 5 Highly Commended awards for 2002; and "Best of Show" at the 8th Annual Beverage and Packaging Global Design Award in New York.
