Interesting Rhone-style blend, that is normally only available from the cellar door.
Bouquet has piercing passionfruit and citrus smells with a concentration of hone and melon notes.
|
Brookland Valley
Vs1 Cabernet Merlot 2003
This wine consistently delivers great value for money. It’s soft, warm and delicious.
The texture and mouth feel are superb with fine tannins and finely tuned oak sitting neatly with the lush fleshy fruit.
The flavours are pleasantly rich and slightly spicy. Best over the next few years.
|
Brookwood Estate
Sauvignon Blanc 2005
One of the region’s more promising new names.
The mix of tropical tropical fruits with slices of tart citrus and pineapple provide a keen balance.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
These guys have been turning out some very handy wines- this is impressive.
It has medium weight with some nice varietal blackcurrant expression and definition.
|
Sandalford Estate
Verdelho 2005
Have been a fan of Sandalford Verdelhos for some years now.
Has a distinctive tropical fruit vibrancy on the nose.
The palate is a fine acid, crisp and clean and delivers to a sustained finish. A beauty.
|
Driftwood Estate
Shiraz Cabernet 2003 With the current fad of cabernet and merlot this combination of shiraz and cabernet is often forgotten.
It’s a medium bodied mix of largely shiraz with about 40% cabernet.
The dominant ripe plummy richness of the shiraz is quite evident, but the more intense cabernet kicks in.
|
Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling 2004
Quite a delicate and restrained example of Margaret River Riesling.
Opens with delicate floral aromas that carry to the slightly minerally and slightly savoury palate.
A pleasing mix of fine of lime and mandarin completes an attractive palate.
|
Lenton Brae
Cabernet Merlot 2003
Seductive perfumes greet the first sniff of this exotic and spicy bouquet.
The medium weight fleshy plum palate is quite beautiful with a nice touch of oak and tannin bringing the best with it.
|
Voyager Estate
Chenin Blanc 2004
Bright straw green in colour.
The nose is a real fruit bomb., with citrus, passionfruit and honeydew dominating.
This soft and inviting wine has a fresh, fruit driven palate of tropical fruits and balanced by bright acidity with a clean, fruit driven finish.
|
Stella Bella
Skuttlebutt Red 2003
A blend of cabernet, shiraz and merlot. It’s amply lush and full with a fleshy mix of plum, mulberry and redcurrant.
|
Minot Wines
Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2005
This combination has developed into a staple.
It has stacks of mouth filling lifted flavours with a pleasant balance mix of tropical fruits and freshly cut grass.
|
Forester Estate
Shiraz 2003
An intense and quite powerful wine showing an intriguing mix of mint and vanilla against a smoky savoury and slightly nutmeg influenced background.
