It almost seems
like yesterday, but the Margaret River Wine Region Festival will
soon be upon us and we will again be staging the People's Choice
Wine Judging and Gala Dinner.
Visitors had
a chance to taste and judge a selection of the best wines coming
out of the region, then sat down and drank the selection with outstanding
local fare at the Flame Tree Restaurant, Cowaramup.
The "judges"
proved themselves an highly sophisticated lot and scored the wines
in very similar fashion to MC , wine judge and writer Ray Jordan.
A highlight of the Festival, last year's inaugural People's Choice
was a great success and a wonderful time was had by all. That's
why we are doing it again in '98. The Festival will be held the
weekend of 20-22 November, 1998. The People's Choice judging will
take place on the Saturday followed by our Gala Dinner. For more
