The
high cost of quality wine production, exorbitant taxes (which are
set to go even higher!) and the boutique nature of the Margaret
River wine industry have all added up to lofty price tags on many
wines from the region.
It is no secret that Margaret River is not known for its ability
to produce its premium wines at the competitive prices of eastern
states operations. Too many dynamics work against it.
Until now, that is. The Margaret River Regional Wine Centre
has long recognised the sometimes prohibitive cost of the region's
wines and has moved boldly to correct the situation.
Enter
MRWines, our own label. And what's more you can get
them for under $10 a bottle! The wines are made at the new state-of-the-art
Harman's Ridge contract winery and we are delighted to announce
the quality of our first bottling is outstanding.
