Tasting Notes :
The Colour:
Medium intensity "blood plum" red.
The Bouquet:
Uplifted blackberry and plum Cabernet fruit with hints of earthy violets and sweet, charry oak.
The Palate:
A complex and satisfying wine which develops in several, distinct phases. The immediate impression is the rich ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit characters. As the palate builds and develops in the mouth, the wine begins to show a rich concentration of dryland Cabernet Sauvignon berry fruit enhanced by fine, grained tannins. Throughout, gentle spicy, tobacco oak weaves in and out of the wine.
The wine can be enjoyed now but the greatest rewards will be reaped by those who are patient and strong willed enough to allow it to develop with further cellaring.
Cellaring: 5 + years |
