In the early days of Margaret River’s development as a world class wine and tourism region, a marketing campaign urged all and sundry to head to Western Australia’s south west for “a taste of Margaret River.”
It is a slogan that still has resonance for Cheers Wine Tours, which offers a suite of snapshot luxury tours of the Margaret River region, its wine, scenic and related holiday treasures.
Owners Nathan and Melissa Browner came to the region from Perth 10 years ago after running family businesses there and established Cheers Wine Tours five years ago.
Over the intervening years, the couple, who also operate the Riverview Tourist Park in Margaret River, have developed several half and full day luxury tours designed to provide that taste, a taste that has brought many back for much more.
The day long Mercedes tour, named after the company’s small luxury buses, starts from wherever you are staying about 11am to the banks of the Margaret River for a mouth watering fillet steak, sausages and fresh garden salad.
Then follows up to five wineries, a barrel room tour, cheese and bikkies en route, and a fun filled day of touring before returning to your accommodation around 5.30pm.
Cost: $65 per person.
Haven’t got a whole day, then try the half day (9am-12.30pm) Caves Tour, which starts from one of the South West’s mind-blowing caves, followed by a visit to the magnificent ancient Boranup Karri forest, then the breathtakingly beautiful Redgate Beach.

Exceed is the right description for this one.An added bonus is a 20% discount if you happen to be staying at the Browner’s Riverview Tourist Park, a friendly, 29 cabin, family-oriented holiday venue offering a wide choice of comfortable and affordable accommodation.
