Arlewood Estate

Arlewood Estate was established in 1988 in the Willyabrup Valley of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia.

The Gosatti family and George Heydon planted a small vineyard near Cowaramup in 1995, and acquired Arlewood Estate in 1999.

The plantings at Arlewood include 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon vines; 9 year old Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc; 8 year old Chardonnay, along with newer plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. The total area under vine is 15 hectares. Some recent developments on the property include expanded dam works and aadditional Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc plantings. Garry Gosatti has been extensively involved in the niche brewing and hospitality industries for many years. Wine has always played an integral role in his life and fluid levels (he is, after all, Italian).

Arlewood wines are made under contract utilising the facilities of world-class wineries such as Voyager Estate and Juniper Estate. Margaret River Wines Inq, and in particular Janice McDonald, in her capacity as Winemaking Consultant, adds independent technical direction and considerable regional experience.
