Stella Bella Wines

The beginnings of Stella Bella Wines date back to the release of 200 cases of the single vineyard Suckfizzle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon in 1999 by winemakers Janice McDonald and Stuart Pym.

In 2000 the first Stella Bella wine, a Moscato style Pink Muscat, was released followed by a Sangiovese Cabernet in 2003. An interest in Italian wine influenced both the choice of name and wine styles.

And the latest addition, Skuttlebutt - an everyday drinking style - was released in 2003.

From this modest and eclectic beginning, Stella Bella Wines has experienced rapid growth, broad critical acclaim and a reputation for producing individually crafted Margaret River wines of great expression, personality and quality.

The grafting and crafting of this reputation has been and remains a very hands-on journey for Stella Bella Wines. Both owners and staff alike have worked intuitively and with a high level of self belief and trust in one another.

The brand names and associated labels of Stella Bella, Suckfizzle and Skuttlebutt are undeniably and purposely curious and expressive of the winery’s sense of irreverence, fun, adventure and creativity.

Each of the brands has a story which is reflective of the wines, the winery’s journey and beliefs.

The values that underpin Stella Bella Wines as a wine producer are:

Embracing & Adventurous: They respect the virtues and lessons of tradition, yet are eager to step outside the square in their continuous journey of discovery.

Dedicated: All their grapes are grown in the Margaret River region, either by themselves or by specially selected growers.

Creative & Excellent: They seek to deliver individually crafted wines of great expression, personality and quality.
